Grassington bull ring MYD36640 (c) YDNPA, 2023

Located in the cobbled market square in the centre of the village. The remains of the iron bullring are set into a ringed cobbled area in the ground. In the 18th century and earlier, bulls would be tied here and then attacked or baited with dogs.

Location

In Grassington market place about 7 metres uphill from the walled seating area. About 5 metres onto the cobbles from the road that passes the Devonshire Arms. Only a ring of cobbles remains around the bolt where the metal ring used to be.
