A former school and schoolmaster’s house dated 1875. Rubble stone built with ashlar (finely dressed stone) dressing and a Westmorland slate roof. The architect is believed to have been R H Carpenter. It is now an outdoor pursuits centre used by school children from all over the country.

Location

Lies at western end of Hardraw village next to the Pennine Way heading north. Open only for booked functions. View from roadside or Pennine Way.
