Cruck Barns at Drebley
Description

Cruck barn, Drebley MYD34394 (c) YDNPA, 2023
Two 16th century cruck built barns survive in the small settlement at Drebley although both have been altered or partly rebuilt. The barn to the rear of Drebley Cottage has the characteristically steeply pitched roof of a heather thatched building although this has since been replaced with corrugated iron. Inside it has three massive full height open cruck trusses. The second barn is still partly heather thatched and also has three cruck trusses.
