Sharp Haw beacon MYD3936 (c) YDNPA, 2023

Tradition has it that one of a chain of signal beacons was built on Sharp Haw near Flasby at the time of the Spanish Armada. Although the hill is an ideal site for such a beacon, there is no trace of one ever having been there.
