Two large gritstone cattle watering troughs lie alongside a lane running to Grass Wood from Grassington. They were probably once fed from a natural spring now dried up. Their modern plastic equivalent is sited nearby, fed from the mains water supply.

Location

Turn left into Chapel Street from Grassington Main Street. Follow Dalesway signs up Bank Lane. Turn left at path signed Grass Wood Lane. Cross field. Go through stile down to Cove Lane. The troughs are on the left. Approx 3/4 mile from village centre.
