Austwick Market Cross MYD3639 (c) YDNPA, 2023

A market cross consisting of a plinth of three steps and a socket stone, probably of 15th century date. The millstone grit Tuscan pillar and ball finial were added sometime in the 1830s.

Location

In the centre of Austwick. Entering the village the cross is situated in the middle of a small green near the church.
